Fedora session Proposal ------------------------ Target date: ------------ 30th July, 2011 - 4:30pm to 6:30pm - First session 31st July, 2011 - 8:30am to 9:30am - Second session Content: -------- a) First session Title: Fedora - Freedom, Friends, Features, First Introduce fedora project and its values. Demo fedora features and use cases. Demonstrate how Fedora Project community in specific and open source communities in general work. Discuss different ways of contributing e.g as Normal user, advanced user, OS Developer, Designer, Bug zapper, ambassador etc. Introduce different Fedora Spins (e.g mechanical, electronics, etc). b) Second session: Title: Python programming - Learn programming in 30mins Python programming has a large community and it is widely useful in different fields. Having a knowledge about Python is useful for any research/student work carried in different fields. This session would aim at teaching students from different departments a high level programming language. Required skills: ---------------- No skills required. Students and faculty from any branch can join sessions.
