Final year project in graduation

Title: Graphical navigation/representation of knowledge base; and
interfacing with other knowledge systems.

Summary: Project was aimed to providing two functionalities to
Gnowsys[2]. First was to provide a model which can be used by a Web
browser, Gnowser[1] or an application to make concept maps of the
knowledge base stored by Gnowsys. Second is to provide a single
unified framework for importing and exporting the knowledge base and
its organization in RDF, OWL, XTM, CL, KIF, LISP, Prolog, CNL and
other such languages for seamless interoperability.

First part was to make a model where Gnowsers [1] can navigate the
knowledge base in Gnowsys using concept maps, and use them to modify
and add new knowledge. Store this representation of structured
information in an application independent manner, which can then be
used by different application programs to render and interpret the
concept maps.

The second part was to provide a functionality in Gnowsys using which
it can talk to other knowledge systems and able to import and export
from them. However, in order to participate with other agent oriented
systems on the network it was necessary to build a single unified
framework for importing and exporting the knowledge base and its
organization in RDF, OWL, XTM, CL, KIF, LISP, Prolog, CNL and other
such languages for seamless interoperability. This was achieved by
having a set of plugins one for each knowledge system with which
Gnowsys will be interacting.

This project was also part of Google Summer of Code 2007[3] competion
and was successful completed. Mentor for google summer of Code was
Nagarjuna Gadiraju[4].
